Advanced, Stable, Durable Dentures
Dentures can replace all or most of your teeth so that you can eat, speak, and smile with confidence. Thanks to our detail-oriented approach, our custom-made restorations will fit comfortably and securely. Additionally, because we use advanced, lifelike restorative materials, they will be virtually indistinguishable from your natural, healthy teeth.
What Are Dentures?
To meet every patient’s specific needs, we proudly offer both full and partial dentures. A partial denture will replace several adjacent teeth. Small, concealed metal clasps will attach to the nearby teeth to hold the restoration in place. Full dentures will replace your complete upper and/or lower dental arch. Often, we provide full dentures after extensive tooth extraction. If you choose a conventional denture, you will have to wait several weeks before you receive your restoration. An immediate denture will be pre-fabricated, so you can begin wearing it immediately after your extraction.
To provide the most lifelike and comfortable restoration possible, we will schedule you for several appointments. We will take impressions of your dental arch, as well as photos of your face and existing teeth. Then we will send this information to our dental lab. They will create a denture that fits your oral structure and matches the color of your teeth and gum tissue. You may have several fittings of your denture to ensure a near-perfect fit.
Dr. Pietrok and Dr. St. Germain also offer implant-supported dentures. These dentures, which rest on permanently affixed implant posts, offer unparalleled stability and protection for your oral health.
The Benefits of Dentures
By replacing a large number of teeth, dentures can restore your mouth’s function and enhance your quality of life. Like many patients, you may find that you are able to eat a much wider range of foods. You may also be able to speak more clearly, and you can smile and laugh confidently. Thanks to our advanced materials and careful fabrication techniques, our dentures fit more securely and naturally than dentures of the past. You will not have to worry about your teeth slipping out of place or causing embarrassing difficulties while you eat. Finally, your dentures will fill in your lips and cheeks, giving your face a younger, fuller look.
Are Dentures Right for You?
If you are missing all or most of your teeth, dentures may be the solution. At your initial consultation, Dr. Pietrok or Dr. St. Germain will carefully examine your dental arch and facial structure to determine the right type of dentures for you. Because dental implants rest directly inside your jaw, your dentist will carefully examine your bone structure before recommending implant-supported dentures. Using digital X-rays and other imaging technology, he or she will make sure that you have enough bone volume to support implants.
