Clear Braces to Subtly Straighten Your Teeth
If you desire a straighter, healthier smile, clear braces may be an excellent choice. Invisalign® and ClearCorrect use custom-crafted aligner trays to realign your teeth without the discomfort and embarrassment associated with traditional metal braces.
About Invisalign® and ClearCorrect
Invisalign® and ClearCorrect are similar treatments, although your dentist may recommend one over the other, based on your particular goals and needs. Both treatments use a series of clear aligner trays to reposition your teeth. To create your aligners, Dr. Pietrok or Dr. St. Germain will take digital impressions of your dental arches. Then your dentist will use these images to design a series of aligners that will gradually shift your teeth. You will wear each aligner for about two weeks, removing it only to eat and brush your teeth. Treatment typically takes 9 to 18 months, although this timeframe varies from patient to patient.
Why Choose Clear Braces?
The most noticeable benefit of Invisalign® and ClearCorrect is that the treatments are extremely subtle. The clear aligners are so discreet that almost no one will know you are straightening your teeth unless you tell them. Additionally, most patients consider clear braces to be more comfortable than traditional orthodontic treatments. The trays will exert a gentler force on your teeth, and, unlike metal brackets, they will not irritate your soft tissues. Another advantage is that Invisalign® and ClearCorrect are quite convenient. Because they are removable, you will not face any dietary restrictions, and you can maintain more thorough dental hygiene. Most importantly, Invisalign® and ClearCorrect are effective. After your treatment is finished, you could enjoy a straighter, healthier smile for life.
Is Invisalign® or ClearCorrect Right for You?
Clear braces can straighten slightly crooked teeth to enhance your appearance. Thanks to recent technological advances, Invisalign® and ClearCorrect can also address most forms of malocclusion. If you struggle with an overbite, underbite, open bite, crossbite, or gapped teeth, you may be a candidate for clear braces. These comfortable aligner trays can subtly straighten your teeth, reduce your risk for TMJ disorder, and improve your overall oral health. Please note that if you have a particularly severe form of misalignment, clear braces may not be suitable for you. Dr. Pietrok or Dr. St. Germain will provide a full consultation to determine whether you are a candidate for one of these treatments.
